counts vs. DEIR projections for Genesee Avenue
This
graph shows recorded traffic volumes (ADT = average daily trips)
on Genesee Avenue, between Decoro Street and Governor Drive, during
the past 15 years. Despite a period of intense growth and development
in North University City, traffic on Genesee Avenue has in fact
remained roughly constant -- with even a slight decrease -- since
1989. Will the DEIR projections for Genesee Avenue ever be realized,
or is it yet another example of overprojected
traffic?
